Shy Bird

Sunday afternoon, I picked up a coffee at Tim's and returned to Sheffield, so see if I could find the Nothern Hawk Owl or the Barred Owl. No such luck. BUT the rough-legged hawk was still there, in the same tree :) This was a very shy bird, I tried and tried for about an hour to get close to it and get a nice sharp shot, but this is all I could get. So I left the poor bird alone and went back home :)

I went to Sheffield today with hopes to see a Northern Hawk Owl that has been in the area for about a week. I didn't find it, but I did come across a beautiful Barred Owl. My first owl! And luckily for me, it didn't mind getting its picture taken :)

I also got to see what looked like Rough-legged Hawk (light form)

And a flock of snow buntings!

It was a good day :)

Project 365

This Morning

Snowshoeing

Today was such a wonderful day, Sean and I went snowshoeing :) I LOVED it, I need to get my own snowshoes. We didn't go very far as it was snowing all day, but we went for a little hike into Deer Park.

Everything is so different now, it's like stepping into a different world. It was so quiet. Didn't see any critters at all in the park.

The snow was so pretty, this is the only time I actually like snow, hehe.

Sean isn't gonna like it when he sees this close-up of himself, but I really like it :)
